Come and meet our marine biologists on the Night of Arts!

On August 9th from 16.00 to 20.00 marine biologists from the Metsähallitus will be present in the World Heritage tent in the Inner Harbor of Vaasa. Our marine biologist will demonstrate how they operate, as well as demonstrate boats and other equipment used for surveying marine environments. Further, they will inform visitors about what goes on under the water surface, and about the Kvarken archipelago and High Coast World Heritage area. At 17.00 and 19.00, divers from the Metsähallitus will perform dives in the Inner Harbor.

The Kvarken Council will also be present in the World Heritage tent, as well as the Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association. The Kvarken Council will arrange a competition, where visitors are asked to identify fish, rocks and berries found in the Kvarken Archipelago and High Coast World Heritage area. The winner will win a World Heritage cruise to Molpehällorna, Valsörarna or Mickelsörarna. Visitors will also be given an opportunity to taste the World Heritage drink “High meets low”. Keep the Archipelago Tidy association will give visitors an opportunity to name their new boat. There will also be a nature trail that start at the World Heritage Tent and ends at the nature center Terranova, in the Ostrobothnian Museum.

You can also enjoy the World Heritage dance performance at 18.00 and 18.45.
